DUP Councillor John Finlay welcomes McAuley expansion

Ballymoney DUP Councillor, John Finlay, has welcomed the announcement that local engineering firm McAuley Engineering is expanding, with the creation of 87 new skilled jobs.

Councillor Finlay said: “At a time of ongoing pressures on the local economy, it is very encouraging indeed to hear that well-respected local firm, McAuley Engineering, is expanding and that 87 skilled and high value added jobs will be created in McAuley Precision and McAuley Fabrication over the next four years. This is excellent news for Ballymoney and the wider community.

“Local firms have always been the backbone of Northern Ireland’s economy, and McAuley Engineering is a fine example of that great tradition in the 21st century. By growing its workforce and its operations, this firm has shown great vision and a determination to continue to be a key player in the field of high-tech engineering. Success will surely be followed by more success, and I wish them well. I also want to place on record my thanks to Invest NI who have played a significant part in securing this expansion.”
