Fashion fundraiser ‘fabulous’

The fashion stakes were high on Saturday as County Antrim Yacht Club, Whitehead, staged a stylish fundraiser. ‘Fashion Tea by the Sea’ was hosted by the commodore’s wife Sara Carse in support of the Breast Cancer campaign.

Glitz and glam were the order of the afternoon as more than 60 ladies enjoyed a champagne reception followed by traditional tea, fashion and some rather unorthodox entertainment.

After a stunning array of Autumn Winter fashion by Natoria of Larne, the surprise guest - “Whitehead’s answer to Mrs Merton” - arrived to delight the audience with her particular take on the world of fashion.

Noelle Rea, of Natoria Ladies Fashions, said: “It has been wonderful to showcase a range of our latest fashions in such a unique setting and to support such a worthwhile charity as Breast Cancer Campaign.”

Much frivolity and competition ensued in the quest to win one of the many generous ballot prizes which were kindly donated by Natoria, Haze @ No 10, Bonsai Beauty Clinic and Fresh. All the ladies were delighted with the ‘goody bag’ they received which was full of items kindly gifted by McFarland’s Chemist Larne.

Sara Carse, of County Antrim Yacht Club, commented: “This is the first time that the club has ever hosted such an event and we have been delighted with the response. The ladies look amazing, the fashion has been fabulous and the support for Breast Cancer Campaign incredible. Plans are already underway for our next event.”
