Flower Festival to be held at Lambeg Parish

LAMBEG Parish Church are hosting a Harvest Flower Festival from October 5 – October 8, designed by floral artist, Alan Beatty.

The festival opening times are: 7pm – 9pm on Friday 5 October (previewing for those with special needs at 2pm); 10am – 8pm on Saturday October 6; 2pm-5pm on Sunday 7 October and 10am-5pm on Monday October 8.

A full programme is planned for the weekend, featuring a unique Titanic exhibition - ‘Where dreams began and ended’ based on the personal story of Thomas and Helen Andrews (Thomas Andrews, the Titanic architect, married Helen Barbour in Lambeg Parish Church on 23 June 1908, and her remains are laid to rest in the adjoining churchyard in the ‘Barbour Vault’).

Visitors will also be able to browse ‘The Market Place’ and purchase quality fresh local produce - fruit and vegetables, cakes, preserves, cards, quality crafts and Titanic memorabilia (Saturday 6 and Monday October 8).

Refreshments will be available throughout the festival which also features an Art Auction at 4pm on Saturday October 6 and a concert at 7.45pm on Monday October 8 featuring Harlandic Male Voice Choir and 1st Old Boys Brass Band.
