Messages of sympathy have been posted on the Clonoe Gallery Facebook page which kindly provided a photo of the late Miss McGrath, described by many as “a lovely lady”.

Philomena was the beloved daughter of the late Paddy and Annie, dearly loved sister of Colm, Fr Sean (Columban Father, Navan, Co Meath), the late Fr Hugh (former PP Carrickmore), Maureen, Peadar, Patrick, Paul and Mary.

Her funeral took place from Ashbrook Care Home on Friday to St Patrick’s Church in Clonoe for Requiem Mass. Interment took place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
