Seamus Carey says the Cranagh Marina and Restaurant, which is situated along the banks of the river off the Portstewart Road, would be perfect buy for a number of different businesses.
“I’m now 61, I’ll be 62 in March and I want to retire,” he said.

Hide Ad“I won’t sell if I get a derisory offer for the site and I’m in no hurry to sell, but it will have to be for the right money.
“The Cranagh is a very, very specific and important site and it has fantastic development potential.
“I bought it off The Honourable The Irish Society in 1992 and got planning permission for the marina and slipway. The bistro is doing extremely well here.
“Maybe someone could come along and open holiday chalets, a boutique hotel or wedding centre here or some other tourism business.
“There is great scope for expansion.”

Hide AdMr Carey - a father of four and a former chairman of Coleraine Harbour Commission - underwent a heart bypass operation in 1998. He says he feels now it’s the right time to sell up.
Local estate agents Armstrong Gordon and O’Connor Kennedy Turtle are jointly handling the sale.
