Gilford Orange Lodge to dedicate new field

A large turnout is expected this Wednesday, May 28 when Gilford District LOL No 13 officially open their new field.

The field, on the Scarva Road, was bought a number of years ago and will be used as the demonstration field on July 12.

The parade will start at the Orange Hall on the Stramore Road at 7.30pm, accompanied by a number of bands and banners.

It will proceed to the field where a dedication and opening service will take place at 8pm.

The parade will then return to the district hall where refreshments will be provided.

This year is a special one for Gilford District brethren as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of the opening of the district hall.
