District Judge Barney McElholm made the comment as he dismissed a charge faced by 42-year-old Charles Elder.
Elder, of Killymallaght Road, denied one charge of possessing a cricket bat as an offensive weapon.

Hide AdThe charge related to an alleged incident in the Nelson Drive area of the city on January 9 last.
A prosecutor told Londonderry Magistrate’s Court that one of the witnesses had not turned up to give evidence in the contest.
He added that the PPS was unable to prove one element in the case and offered no other evidence.
Dismissing the case, Mr McElholm said: “Perhaps, he [Elder] should face the judges on Dragons Den.
“He appears to have invented a piece of sports equipment that is simultaneously a cricket bat, baseball bat and hockey stick.”
