Jackie is elected as the new president at Moira WI

This was followed by a “hands-on” competition by members which proved to be very entertaining and was won by Jackie Brown. It was a most enjoyable evening with many members coming away with choice garden supplies.

There was a vote of thanks and a donation presented by the President Ann Irwin.

the competition for floral arrangement in an egg cup was won by Suzanne McConville. Birthday for the month was Rosemary Henderson.

The AGM in June was chaired by Executive Member Helen Dunlop and tellers Dorothy Andrews and Barbara McClenaghan.

Jackie Brown was elected President. Committee members are Frances Allen, Florence Bowler, Helen Coulter, Rosemary Henderson. Ann Irwin, Una Tallon and Grace Wells.

The competition for a fancy button was won by Joan Gilbert. Birthday for month was Elizabeth Lemon.

Highlight of the evening was a Jubilee “street-style party“ with supper supplied by the committee.
