Judges welcomed to Strathfoyle

STRATHFOYLE residents had some very special visitors last week - the judges from the Calor Village of the Year competition.

The panel dropped in for a visit on Monday last to assess the application and members of Enagh Youth Forum escorted them on a guided tour of all the local youth, women’s and community group facilities in the area.

At a reception in Strathfoyle Library the groups had an opportunity to showcase their work through displays, a presentation or addressing the judges directly, emphasising the good community relations that exist in the Strathfoyle area. The future plans and ideas for the village were also highlighted.

Enagh Youth Forum members have thanked those who attended and made a positive contribution and particularly thanked the management and staff at Strathfoyle Library for hosting the event.

Strathfoyle is one of 12 villages being visited by the judging panel.
