Larne police in social media road safety initiative

On the next three bank holiday Mondays - April 21, May 5 and May 26 - there will be a different message for each day on the PSNI’s Facebook and Twitter accounts .

Road safety education officer Constable Syd Henry said: “Recognising that many people use social media platforms as a source of information, especially when they are on the go, we are using our Twitter and Facebook sites to encourage the sharing of road safety messages.

“If you are already a follower of the Larne PSNI Facebook or Twitter account, then all you need to do is like, share and retweet. For those of you who haven’t signed up, do it now. We want to reach as many people as possible over those three key dates and by showing your support for this campaign, you are visibly demonstrating your personal commitment to making our roads safer.”
