Lisburn Leo group holds its agm
Lisburn Leo held its Annual General Meeting last week.
Volunteers and users of the service heard the Chairman, Robert Apsley, report on rising numbers of listeners.
“We have regular contact with other groups such as RNIB, Lisburn in Focus and SE Trust,” said Robert.

Hide AdLisburn Leo provides a service that is free to listeners. It is a service provided entirely by volunteers.
In his report the Chairman expressed particular thanks to those who volunteer as readers, those who take charge of administration or recording and those who are committee members. He acknowledged as well the practical support provided by local Soroptimists. The work of the Talking Newspaper was recently recognised by the Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, at a reception in the Civic Centre
The guest speaker at the AGM was Diane Roberts from the Sensory Support team of the SE Trust.
The AGM finished with office-bearers and committee in place for next year.
