Lisburn pupils compete in Young Innovators Exhibition

PUPILS from schools in Lisburn are preparing to attend the annual ‘Sentinus Young Innovators Exhibition’ science fair which will take place on 19th June at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast where they will present their science innovations to over 160 industry experts,.

Pupils from Wallace High School, Killowen Primary and Downshire Primary will be competing with 600 other school children order to represent Northern Ireland at two prestigious international science exhibitions - the ‘International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, and Environmental Project’ (I-SWEEEP) and the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) competitions.

The exhibition is being run by Sentinus, one of the leading Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) organisations in the UK.

As well as the Innovators’ Exhibition 2,500 pupils will be attending to participate in a wide range of shows, workshops and activities.
