Man jailed after Hillsborough drugs haul

A man has been jailed after being caught with £1 million worth of cannabis outside Hillsborough last year.

Matthew Tyrie, 50, from Knockleigh Walk in Greenisland, was give a six year prison sentence, with three years in prison and three years on bail.

Tyrie was caught with 210kgs of cannabis resin when police stopped a car outside Hillsborough in January of last year.

It was the biggest seizure of cannabis resin in Northern Ireland for five years.
