New Year’s Day assault
Police are appealing for information about an assault on a man in the early hours of New Year’s Day in the Meetinghouse Lane area of Ballymena.
Constable Ruth Irvine said: “The man reported to have been attacked by another person as he was walking with a friend at around 2.30am. He suffered minor injuries to his face and neck as a result of the incident. None of his injuries are thought to be life threatening.
“Anyone who may have saw what happened in the area at the time is asked to call Ballymena police on the non-emergency number 101.”
