Magilligan lights switchtaking place this Friday

SANTA Clause himself has phoned ahead to Magilligan Community Association, confirming he will be in Magilligan this Friday evening to turn on the Christmas tree lights and to meet all the children,

Alice Conn, of the Magilligan Community Association received Santa’s call, and said the lights will be switched on by Santa at 7.00pm on Friday, December 14 at the Community Centre on Seacost Road.

Alice said: “Santa told me that his very good friends Paddy Nash and Diane received such a warm welcome from the Magilligan children last year that they will be returning with him to join the primary school children in singing Christmas carols. Earlier in the month Santa and Paddy Nash had a dress rehearsal in the Guildhall square to practice for the main event of the festive season in Magilligan”

“As in previous years the kind local farmers will ensure there are plenty of Magilligan carrots for Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupit, Donder and Blixen and Santa will have treats for every child and a bowl of hot soup for mums and dads.”

“On behalf of the management committee and the entire Magilligan community I would like to thank Limavady Borough Council especially Geraldine Smyth for providing the Christmas tree and sponsoring the event.”
