Overend welcomes Jubilee

“2012 is certainly an eventful year for Northern Ireland’s Tourist calendar and the celebrations surrounding Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations will, no doubt, stand out in the minds of many as a high point for constituents across Mid-Ulster and indeed for everyone throughout Northern Ireland,” she said.

“There is a wealth of entertainment and celebrations on offer for all to participate in and I myself will be taking particular delight in getting out and about, meeting with various constituents and celebrating the life and reign of our Monarch, Queen Elizabeth.

“I am certain that the people of Northern Ireland look forward to welcoming Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on her visit to Northern Ireland as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and I encourage everyone to attend their local Jubilee celebration events.”
