Part of Craigavon Hospital sealed off
It is understood there was damage to a gas pipe during work at one of the buildings close to the main entrance.
The NI Fire and Rescue Service said that no one was evacuated and they sealed the area off as a precaution.

Hide AdThere were some traffic delays as the main road to the hospital has been sealed off.
Two fire appliances from Portadown and one from Lurgan were tasked to the hospital.
It is understood work was being carried out close to the Out of Hours Doctors’ building in preparation for the new Paediatric Unit.
It appears that a gas pipe may have been damaged during excavation work.

There were major traffic delays as the police and NIFRS sealed off the main entrance to the hospital.
There are no reports of anyone being injured and the area has now been cleared.
This is the second time in a fortnight that NI Fire and Rescue Service were tasked to Craigavon Hospital.
