Party-time for Hillsborough ladies
MEMBERS of Hillsborough W.I. enjoyed a festive-themed party instead of their usual meeting in December.
President Margaret Murphy welcomed members to the get-together in the Village Centre and after routine business and roll call, a new member, Muriel Brotherston, was proposed and seconded.
The women then enjoyed their party, with tables tastefully decorated by Iris Crothers. Poems were read by Molly McCleary and a game of ‘Pass the Parcel’ was part of the fun, before members took part in some carol singing.
A special festive supper was arranged for the interval and the competition for a Silver Sugar Sifter was won by Jeanette Shannon, with Molly McCleary second.
