Markethill parade to attract 45 bands and thousands of supporters

Bands from far and wide are expected to be in Markethill for a big parade tonight (Saturday, April 29).

The parade is being hosted by Markethill Protestant Boys Flute Band and is likely to attract around 45 other outfits along with thousands of supporters.

A spokesperson for the host band said: “We would love to see our wee town packed on the night in support for us and our guest bands.”

The parade will begin at 7pm and take the following route:

  • Main Street
  • Keady Street
  • Fairgreen Street
  • Newry Street
  • Main Street
