Police probe link between burglaries

POLICE are investigating a possible link between a spate of burglaries in the Larne borough in the early hours of Wednesday, December 5.

The first incident took place shortly after 1am at the Spar in Ballygally, when burglars entered the store by removing a glass panel from the front door and made off with a quantity of cigarettes.

The second occurred sometime between 1.25am and 2am at the petrol station on Linn Road, Larne. Thieves entered these premises through a fire exit door at the side of the premises. It is believed that two men with hooded tops and gloves again stole a quantity of cigarettes.
