PSNI urge public to be vigilant after bomb

Police in Lurgan have urged the public to be vigilant after the bomb attack in the town at the weekend.

Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon District Commander, Superintendent Davy Moore said: “Our investigation into the weekend’s security alert continues and I would like to remind the public to remain cautious in the area of Lake street and Victoria Road”

Last Saturday the PSNI were evacuting homes in the Victoria St area following reports of a suspicious device when a second device exploded.

No one was injured in the blast however there was severe disruption to the area for many hours.

Supt Moore said: “Please be vigilant and if you notice anything of a suspicious nature please contact us immediately on 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
