Resurfacing welcome at Ardmore

Sinn Féin Councillor, Fergal Lennon, welcoming the work said: “This is long overdue and I want to thank Minister Hazzard for ensuring the Derrytrasna area was one of the areas which benefitted from a recent departmental scheme to improve the rural roads network.

“The breakdown and failure of the concrete sub structure has resulted in dangerous conditions for both drivers and pedestrians.

“This will go some way to securing safer journeys for all.

“It does however remain a commitment of mine to ensure our rural roads are well lit up.

“The Minister has also given a commitment to carry out similar works on the Derrytrasna and Charlestown Road and I look forward to that happening in the near future.”
