Rushyhill preceptory unfurls new banner

The new banner, the preceptory’s third in its almost 100-year history, was unfurled in Rushyhill Orange Hall, Sir Knight Chris Wright WM welcoming all Sir Knights and guests.

Sir Knight Matthew Tinsley PM, PDM chaired proceedings. while Sir Knight the Rev David McCarthy, District Chaplain of Lisburn District No 1 and Deputy County Grand Chaplain of County Antrim Grand Black Chapter, led the opening praye.

The unfurling of the new banner was preformed by Sir Knight Kenneth Hull, PM, PDM, Deputy County Grand Master of County Antrim Royal Black Chapter, who also addressed the assembly.

The dedication was performed by Sir Knight the Rev David McCarthy, District Chaplain of Lisburn District, Deputy County Grand Chaplain of County Antrim Grand Black Chapter.

The Deputy Master’s sons, Jason and Alex McAlpine, made presentations of appreciation on behalf of RBP 1003.

Worshipful Master Mr Wright proposed a vote of thanks - seconded by Deputy Master Mr McAlpine - to all concerned and invited everyone to stay for supper after the parade, led by Magheraberry Flute band.

“Rushyhill Crimson Arrow was formed 95 years ago,” said Sir Knight William Leathem.

“This is the third banner in its history.”
