Lynsey and Gary Elliott recently completed the Stratosphere Tower Sky Jump in Las Vegas in memory of their sister, Louise.

Explaining why they decided to take on the terrifying fundraiser, Lynsey said: “On March 15, 2012 I lost my sister and best friend Louise at the age of 29. Our family was shocked and devastated and will never be the same again. She died suddenly from heart failure with no warning or previous health problems.

“Louise really was the most loyal, beautiful person. She was the kindest and best friend anyone could ask for. She was intelligent, curious and had a passion for knowledge. I am so grateful that we saw so much of the world together. I miss her more than words can ever express and carry her with me always.”

She continued: “My family and I visited Las Vegas for my brother’s 40th birthday and did the Sky Jump from the Stratosphere Tower to remember Louise and to raise funds for NICHS. The jump is 855 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. It was amazing and I definitely have a bungee jump and skydive planned next! Louise would have loved the experience as well.”

The brave brother and sister have thanked all those who sponsored them, helping them raise £1,355 for NI Chest Heart and Stroke.

Cheryl Brown, NICHS fundraiser, thanked Lynsey, Gary and all their supporters for their generous donation to the charity.
