Special buses for pop fans

TRANSLINK is providing special coach services for music fans in Londonderry travelling to see performances from mega stars including Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snow Patrol in Belfast for the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) on November 6.

Around 20,000 fans are expected to come to Belfast for special MTV concerts or to simply enjoy the lively city centre atmosphere.

Translink’s Lynda Shannon says the special services are a hassle-free way to get to and from Belfast: “The EMAs will be one of the music highlights of the year and as such we want to offer fans a reliable and easy way to get to Belfast City Centre to enjoy the show. With MTV concerts held at the City Hall and the Ulster Hall close to our Europa Buscentre, it mean our coach services offer music fans better and more convenient travel options.
