The roadshow builds put pupils in direct contact with real life people who occupy these professions. Throughout the day the students undertook four STEM based activities, engaging in hands-on and age appropriate challenges where the emphasis was on creativity and problem solving.

Activities included designing and building wind powered vehicles, designing roller coasters and pricing restaurant menus through the use of equations, weights and measures. his allowed pupils to develop solutions in a way that gave them an introduction to how STEM subjects are used in the real world.

David Granger, chairman of CBEP commented:
“The primary school pupils were excited by the opportunities available to them
during the day to consider employment and entrepreneurial opportunities available in the context of STEM subjects. I received a number of letters of appreciation from the young people and to quote Jack: ‘I enjoyed the day and was highly motivated by it...I learned never to give up on my dreams.’ I think that says it all!”
