Stolen items returned to St Ronan's

Items stolen from a Lurgan school have been reunited with their owners after police found them during searches.

Police in Lurgan said they were ‘delighted’ to be able to return the stolen property this week.

At the end of January heartless thieves broken into a classroom at St Ronan’s College on Cornakinnegar Road, Lurgan.

A number of laptops and guitar amplifiers were stolen.

As part of their investigation police conducted the search of a house in Belfast and recovered two guitar amplifiers.

“These were returned to the school,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

Four men, aged 21, 29, 31 and 35 years old, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods. They were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Constable Michael Allen said: “We are delighted that we have been able to locate some of the stolen property and would like to thank the public for their support during our investigation.”
