Taken: Boy band performs at Carrick cyber safety event

Downshire School was rocking recently to a performance by Irish boy band Taken.

The group was booked for a workshop on cyber safety and to perform some songs.

A statement from the school read: “Years 8, 9 and 10 benefitted from their advice on how to keep safe online and thoroughly enjoyed their performance and the photograph and autograph session which followed.

“Messages on cyber safety are regularly delivered through assemblies and ICT lessons, but we decided to get the message across a little differently this year. Downshire pupils and staff were very taken with Taken.”
