Thieves target new build houses in Magherafelt

Police in Magherafelt are investigating the report of burglaries at new build houses in the Mullaghboy Glen area.

Three houses under construction were entered sometime between 5.30pm on Tuesday 13th and 7.30am on Wednesday 14th October and a number of items removed.

The items included Normende brand oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. A Heta Inspire 40 wood burning stove was also taken, along with bathroom items and a number of power tools.

Investigating officer, Constable Andrew Hutchinson, has appealed to anyone who has been offered items for sale in suspicious circumstances recently or who has any information about a maroon coloured Peugeot car which had been observed in the area in the week before the burglaries to contact police in Magherafelt on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
