All practice sessions were successfully completed at the Orritor circuit on Friday, although rain in the late afternoon led Clerk of the Course Francis Everard to postpone the scheduled races, which will now be held as part of the main race bill.

“All of the practice sessions were successfully run and although it might be damp early in the morning, the forecast is for a dry day so we’re confident of running the full schedule.

“There were only a few minor incidents and of all the practice sessions held I think we only had one red flag all day.”

The decision means two Supersport races will be run on Saturday in addition to both Superbike events, with roads closing at 10am sharp.

The organisers aim to start the first race before 10.30am.
