In one incident an occupant disturbed a male in their house at 6am and reported it to police after 11am.

This male is described as being approximately 5ft 10in tall, in his mid 20s, of medium build, clean shaven with black hair.

He made off with a purse and got into a navy blue Vauxhall Vectra car.

Inspector Nigel Graham, Banbridge Neighbourhood and Response, said: “We say it over and over again, but we repeat it because it is so important - windows and doors should be closed and locked. Thieves are opportunists.”

Police can be contacted at Banbridge on the 101 non-emergency number.
