Women’s section of Legion

There will be an open meeting on Thursday 3rd September, 2015 at 7.30pm in Lurgan Royal British Legion 8-10 Union Street Lurgan.

The women’s section is a membership organisation which was formed in 1921 which provides care and support to the serving and ex-serving community. “We provide grants to women and children disadvantaged by military circumstances. Our support services are available to the entire armed forces community, from service personnel and veterans to military spouses and children.

“Our meetings will consist of social activities, attending women section events, members can volunteer to become a committee member or a Standard Bearer, whilst holding fundraising events throughout the year, and having fun along the way.”

Membership is open to women of all ages whether you have a military background or not. There is also a youth membership that girls can join from 15 years old, free of charge. Contact Tracey 07856353011 for details.
