Work halts on Wallace Park play facility
The Council confirmed that construction has been 'temporarily' halted.
The work on the play area commenced in Autumn 2009 and is nearing completion. However, the council said it has been made aware that the contractor for the project may not able to complete the works.

A spokesperson for the Council said: "Council Officers are assessing the extent of the work required to complete the play area at the current time. At this stage the Council is not able to provide any further information."
The delay will come as a big blow with the new play area eagerly anticipated.
It has replaced the older equipment with approximately three times the amount of play, including spectacular six metre high towers with tube slides, zip-lines and swings.
