Ballyvally Junior squad have first practice
Thirty-five junior archers of all ages (almost the full squad of 40 archers) turned up for three hours practice with coaches Frank Mulligan and Ashley Russell-Cowan.
They were aided by Craig McCreery, one of the previous Ballyvally Junior squads of 2013 who shared the skills and experience he had learned while shooting and winning medals for UK. As well as Mrs Ruth Gilmour another member of the GB International team from 2013 and 2014.

Hide AdAltogether there will be four squads, u18, u15, u12 and u10.
After all, one of Ballyvally’s most successful archers, Peter Mulligan, started when he was six!
One of the main objectives for the squads will be to shoot in the N.I. Junior indoor target champs on Sunday 24th January, hosted by Ballyvally Archers in Banbridge Leisure Centre.
But the big one will be to shoot in the British Open Field archery Championships which will also be hosted by Ballyvally Archery Club for the 5th time.

Hide AdThis time it will be organised in the grounds of Greenmount College in June 2016.Programme for 2016;
The club will restart in the local leisure Centre on Wed 6th and Thursday 7th January with the usual 8 sessions.
The programme will switch to Field Archery in early preparation for the “Open” in June and also for the club’s first tournament at Loughbrickland on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th January.
Club members are asked to note there will be a meeting to prepare courses on Monday 28th December at 10am.

Beginners sessions:
As usual, at the start of a new season, new members are welcome with the first night free to have a go.
There are eight sessions available and families are especially welcome.
The club’s youngest member is four years old and the oldest is 90!

Hide AdClub sessions are on Wednesdays and Thursdays..some in the afternoon and some after teatime.
