Celebrations at Temple GC for Captain's Day

THERE was a fantastic day for golfers at Temple Golf Club on Saturday June 5 when the club celebrated Men's Captain's Day. The sun shone from early morning right through the day and with a gentle breeze it was perfect for 18 holes of fun and competitive golf.

Captain Robert Gill welcomed over 120 members and guests to play for the Captain's prizes ranging from 5 - 28 handicappers.

Robert did a fantastic job with the help of his council members, in setting up the competition and prizes etc for the day. The course was as usual in prestine condition with Malcolm McEwan (Head Greenkeeper) up from the crack of dawn adding the finishing touches to the new pin positions and ensuring the fairways and greens were perfect. Looking over the course from the 1st tee box taking into view the newly installed water fountain at the 2nd, it formed a beautiful breathtaking scene that you thought you might only see in a painting.
