Derry secured their first AIB Junior Cup title in the most dramatic fashion at Dubarry Park with an 86th minute try from winger Mark O'Connor.

And a brilliant touchline conversion from the same player helped them edge out Armagh by two points in a titanic tussle, leaving the Derry men dancing with delight as their shocked opponents trudged off the field broken-hearted.

Armagh's 17 points were scored through a Matthew Irwin try, while four penalties were sent between the posts by Adam Gowing.

City of Derry scored three tries - by Andrew Semple, Richard McCarter, and that dramatic winner by Mark O'Connor, who also scored two conversions.
