Lee new captainat Waringstown
The 23-year-old takes over from Kyle McCallan, who has stepped down after three successful seasons in the role.
Nelson, who has representative experience with the Northern Knights, Ireland A and Ireland under-19s, takes on the captaincy after Waringstown’s double-winning exploits in 2013.

Hide AdThe villagers won the NCU Challenge Cup and shared the Premier League title with Instonians and Nelson hopes to add more honours in 2014.
The Gilford man, son of Waringstown seam-bowling legend Alan Nelson, becomes one of the youngest captains in the club’s history. He is considered one of the most promising young players in Ireland.
He said: “I’m delighted to have been named first eleven captain of Waringstown.
“I would like to pay tribute to Kyle McCallan who has led the team to trophy successes over the last three years. Waringstown won five trophies in that time and Kyle has to take a lot of credit for that, he led by example on and off the field.

“We’re going to work hard over the winter and be ready for the start of the new season next April. We will be looking to challenge for honours once again in 2014.”
