Double gold for Rebecca
FOLLOWING her successes at the recent Ulster Schools Judo Championships Rebecca Cuckoo (16) was selected to represent Coleraine College and Ulster Schools in both the U17 and U20 age categories at the Irish National Schools Judo Championships held in Dublin at the weekend.
Rebecca won all of her fights with the maximum 10 points (Ippon) to be rewarded with two gold medals.
Rebecca is also a member of the Coleraine Judo Club and if you wish to try out this exciting Olympic and Commonwealth sport, there are training sessions on Friday nights for the U15’s at 7.30pm and seniors at 8.30pm in the Coleraine Leisure Centre. There will be no training on Good Friday.
