Downes and Dean Triples

At 10.00am on Monday 1st September Portstewart Bowling Club saw the start of the 2014 Downes and Dean Cup Triples Competition with 75 players taking part.

Those players who were knocked out in the first round were eligible to play in a subsidiary Linton Plate Competition and so each player was guaranteed at least two games.

The weather was dry and pleasant for playing bowls and a great number of spectators and supporters turned up to watch the matches.

The two Competitions continued on Thursday 4th September with the Semi Finals of each Competition being played on Thursday afternoon.

The Semi Finals of the Veterans Singles and Pairs Competitions will be held on Monday 8th September at Coleraine Bowling Club, Lodge Road Coleraine, commencing at 2.00pm.

The Finals of The Veterans Singles, Pairs, Rinks, Triples and Plate Competitions will be held on Thursday 11th September at Portglenone Bowling Club commencing at 10.00am.
