ROUND 8 of the Cooper Motorcycles Time Trial League which is the Bob Cummings Cup Hilly TT will be held on Thursday July 19th starting at 7.30pm.

The event will be held on a new course starting at the entrance to Donaghey’s Concrete Works on the Lissan Road and will go along the Feegarron Road to turn at the top of Snail Walk Hill and return back along the same route to give a distance of approximately 11 mile.

A couple of East Tyrone members were in action in this year’s Newry 3 day held on Friday 29th of June- Sunday 1st July. Both rode very well with Gary Jeffers placing third in the final stage to give him 12th place overall and only 58 seconds behind the winner. Melvin Steel had his best performance to date riding strongly throughout the three days to finish 32nd overall and 2 minutes behind the winner. There were 84 finishers in the event.

Round 6 of the Burrows Engineering Road Race League took place on Thursday evening past on the Rock circuit. Two riders from the scratch group, Gary Jeffers and Stevie Hutchinson, broke away and rode clear of the field to finish 1st and 2nd respectively.
