This Coca/Cola Intermediate Cup tie has been postponed twice while scheduled for the Riverside Stadium, so this weekend ’Stute have to give up home advantage and travel to The Cliff, Larne.

Star play on a 3G pitch, something which Kee isn’t too concerned about.

“We have been training at the Vale Centre’s super 3G pitch and that will help us,” he stated.

“The pitch is similar to the Vale Centre’s and hopefully that will suit us.

“We have players who want to try and play and because we have trained on that type of surface at the likes of Lisneal College and the GAA 3G in Claudy we are sort of used to it.

“With it being another away game it’s not ideal, but we just have to get on with and see where it takes us.”

With the transfer window now closed and Kee not losing a player he’s expected to be fielding a strong side.

The ’Stute gaffer is expected to play a strong side as like virtually a lot of sides up and down the country his players haven’t had a game in a number of weeks.

Although the Waterside men defeated a Derry City trialists team last week at the Vale Centre, Kee will be looking to give much more needed game time to certain players.

Striker Darren McFadden has returned from a recent shin injury, ironically he would have missed the tie if it had have been played over the last two weeks, but after receiving treatment he returned and played in their game against the Candystripes.

“I will be playing my strongest team as I want to give players game time,” he added.

“We know what we are going up against, they try to play football, play the game the right way and with the game now switched to their place we’ll need to make sure that we are on the money.

“The likes of Stephen O’Flynn, Aaron Walsh, Gary Henderson, Michael McCrudden all need minutes under the belts,” concluded Kee.
