Brian has two points to spare to lift Spring Cup

The winner with 40 points was Brian Toman who had 20 points on his front nine thanks to a birdie at the 9th, four pars and four single bogeys.

His back nine included one birdie at the 11th, three pars and five single bogeys at the remaining holes to win by two points.

In second place was Martin Hamill with 38 points. He had 18 points on his front nine, with two pars, five bogey and two double bogeys.

His back nine had three pars, four single bogeys and two doubles bogeys.

Third was Steven Kelly with the best score on the course by far with a level par round and 38 points.

Steven had 19 points on his front nine which contained two birdies at the 8th and 9th holes, five pars and two bogeys.

His back nine of 19 points had one birdie at the 11th hole, one bogey and seven pars for an excellent round of golf considering the conditions for this new member at Silverwood.

The gross prize went to Paul Lavery with a gross 78. Paul had a front nine of 38 with one bogey, one double bogey and seven pars. His back nine included six pars and three bogeys.

The second gross prize went to Patrick Jordan with a 79.

Fourth place went to Bernard McKeever with 38 points. He had an excellent 24 points on his front nine with one birdie at the 7th, six pars and two single bogeys, but a disappointing back nine of 14 points with only two pars.

Fifth place went to Tony Beeton with 37 points, he had 17 points on his front nine with one birdie at the 4th, three pars , three single bogeys and two double bogeys.

His back nine of 20 points had one birdie at the 18th, four pars and four single bogeys.

The senior prize was picked up by David Cunningham with 36 points. The front nine prize was won by Sean Morgan with 21 pts.

The back nine prize was won by Dominic Marsden with 21 pts.

Junior’s Prizes: 1st place Oisin Farquhar 39 pts; 2nd place Caolan Reynolds 37 pts; 3rd place Nathan Thompson 35 pts.
