Kilrea Manor Golf Club News

The Weekend Competition on the 19/20 February at the kilrea Manor Golf Club was won by Seamus Hasson with a score of 43 stableford points Runner up was Pat Conlon with 43, and three other members broke 40. There were two twos recorded, by Tony McLernon at the 4th, and Eddie O’kane at the 13th. The Spring League continues and has reached the half way stage with three rounds left to play. The course is holding up well despite the amount of rain that has fallen recently .

The winner of the weekend competition on the 25/26th February at the Kilrea Manor Golf Club not only had a great stableford round of 46 points but capped with a hole in one at the very first hole and never looked back, and was 5 ahead of the runner up with 41 points. Congratulations to Tony Mc Lernon on his success. I presume this is his first hole in one but I could be mistaken The runner up with 41 points was “steady” Eddie O’ Kane. Two others broke the 40 mark , namely Charlie Hasson and Captain Chris Darragh, who both recorded twos along with Stephen Wylie and Dessie Gray. and our hole in one man Tony.

The Spring League continues and there are just two rounds left before we know which team is the winner, and also the individual winner.

I would remind all members that the Captain’s shotgun competition takes place on Sunday 1st April. and a full turnout is expected to give our captain Chris Darragh a good start to his year . Players should assemble at 7.15am sharp for an 8 am start..
