President Diana leads the way to the prizes

This week the ladies played for prizes provided by Mr President Dan McCool and very appropriately the winner was no other than Lady President, Diana McClelland, with a score of 38 pts.

Diana was one of the prize winners on the ladies away day on Monday and she continued this good run with a tidy front nine on Tuesday.

A birdie 3 at the 10th kick started her back nine, before dropping a few shots on the closing holes. Diana is always one of the first out so on this occasion the early bird definitely did catch the worm.

The runner-up prize went to Mildred Martin with 37 pts. Mildred has also enjoyed a rich vein of form lately and she played the par 3’s nicely today to set up a winning round. The gross prize went to Niamh Ward with 30 gross points. Niamh had a great run in the middle of her round with birdies at 6, 10, 11 and 12 but unfortunately the beginning and end of the round did a bit of damage to her card. Three very worthy prize winners of Mr Presidents prizes.

The section prizes, for the ladies prizes, went to Christine Hagan section one with 35 pts, Irene McCusker section two with 34 pts and Catherine Jinks section three with 32 pts. The nine hole winner was Sally Hayes.
