Home bankers pay off for Garvey

Lisnagarvey took six points from a 29 shots home win over Balmoral, their second home win of the week, having beaten Dundonald 5-2 on the previous Tuesday.

A three and a six helped Noel Graham to a 15-2 lead at the ninth and and he added two more threes to lead 24-6 at 15 ends. Garvey added a five at 20 ends to win by 23 shots.

A four helped Ivan Craig but he was 7-13 down at the tenth but 15-13 up at 15 ends. Garvey finished with three singles and a three to win by six shots.

Down 6-16 at 11 ends, Davy Boal came back to 14-17 at 17 ends but lost by two shots.

After starting with a four, Philip Cromie was 13-3 ahead at 11 ends and 16-6 at 15 ends. Garvey dropped two, four, one over the closing ends but still won by two shots.

A last end double from Keith Morrison’s rink earned Lisnagarvey a one shot win at home to Dundonald in NIBA Division One on Tuesday night.

They took five points in the closely fought game.
