Leaders Linfield aim to stay on top

TABLE toppers Linfield will be hoping to keep their noses in front of the chasing pack with a victory over Coleraine at Windsor Park tonight (Tuesday 7.45pm).

Seven days ago the Blues came away from Coleraine with a 3-1 win, producing their best performance of the season so far.

"We knew it was a tough challenge last week because Coleraine are a team full of talented players, but we managed to produce our best performance so far," said boss David Jeffrey.

"Now we have to do it again. That is what it will take if we are to beat them again. They will be out to turn that result over and they are certainly very capable of doing that, so we have to be on our guard.

"We have turned the corner in recent weeks and got a run going, but the challenge now is can we hold the lead. Tonight will be a big test."

The Blues will be without suspended Billy Joe Burns and Michael Carvill.

Sammy Morrow will make his debut for Coleraine.
