Nostalgia: A town renowned for artistic talent

‘Art for art’s sake’ certainly seemed to be the main driving force behind the students who attended the evening classes at Lurgan College of Further Education in 1985.

The evening class on a Monday night was proving popular with those people who wanted to sit an examination at the end and also with those who simply enjoyed it as a past time.

Lurgan was quite renowned for its local art talent and class tutors, Tom Mullen and Danny Lavery, said it was never too late to take an interest.
