Town centre racing in store this weekend

Ballymoney town centre is the host some exciting cylcing this weekend.

This Friday, 29th August, there is an opportunity for the cycling loving people of Ballymoney to enjoy a three race programme starting at 6.30pm. The sign on will take place at Riada House on Charles Street from 5.15pm. This is the most exciting form of bike racing and is being propmoted by Ballymoney CC, Dunloy CC along with John Fall the Sports Advisory Officer.

The three race programme will be a race for beginners, club racers and winners of races this season so far. Ballymoney Borough Council, are supporting this ‘New Event’ and this very sporting and technical circuit should provide spectators with some very fast and exciting racing, bringing out the best in the riders.

Details of the circuit will be published in Facebook and on the Ballymoney Cycling Club website. Riders are asked to sign on at Riada House on Charles Street from 5.15pm. For more details contact Paul O’Kane Dunloy CC or Maurice McAllister Ballymoney CC.

Congratulations to Shay Donley, Rowan McGomery, Lauren Laverty, Callum Wallace, Robbie Doherty, Andrew Harris, Scott Donley, Jordan Campbell, Cameron Wallace, Arthur Taggart and Oliver Watt on their successes in the Irish National Youth Cycling Championships in the town last weekend. Thanks to Deputy Mayor Harry Connelly, John Madden and Marcus Christie who presented prizes on Sunday.
